Paul Heath

Paul is a senior associate in Ogier's Corporate law team and part of the specialist BVI in Europe team. He has 20 years of experience of leading all types of corporate transactions, including M&A, private equity, banking and debt finance deals.

Background and experience

Paul advises on all aspects of company law and all types of corporate transactions. He is equally comfortable with mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financing, investments and restructurings, and joint ventures and shareholders agreements, and has a strong track record of satisfied clients in all these fields.

While at Ogier, some of the major BVI deals Paul has acted on include:

• $3bn note exchange and restructuring of listed securities
• $950m acquisition of a PLC
• $120m takeover of a NASDAQ-listed BVI company, and
• $40m spin-out joint venture.

Paul has experience of both the onshore and offshore side of corporate transactions. Prior to re-joining Ogier in 2022, Paul worked as an English lawyer for firms in Cambridge and London, giving him insight into the needs and requirements of onshore clients. He has also spent time in-house, working on secondment as part of the legal team at AstraZeneca Plc.

Paul has an MA from the University of Oxford (where he read jurisprudence at The Queen's College), and completed his legal education at the Oxford Institute of Legal Practice before embarking on his professional career.
