James Angus, partner in Ogier's Dispute Resolution team has been recognised as a rising star of the private client profession in the 2023 eprivateclient Channel Islands NextGen Leaders list.

This is the sixth time James has been named in the annual list.

An experienced disputes lawyer and courtroom advocate, James has particular specialisms in cross-border insolvency and restructuring, as well as in contentious cross-border trusts and estates work. He recently advised in consultation with the Government of Jersey on the form and ambit of Jersey's new Deferred Prosecution Agreements law.

James is also recognised as a "next generation partner" in Legal 500 UK, and "up and coming" in Chambers UK.

Head of Dispute Resolution in Jersey Nick Williams said: "We're very pleased to see James recognised by eprivateclient for the sixth year. As a peer-recommended accolade, it's continued affirmation from industry of James' technical acumen and excellence in client service. This is thoroughly well-deserved recognition and we look forward to seeing James' continued success with Ogier."
