Valere Twagirayezu

Valere is a financial services professional with nearly two decades of experience in Luxembourg, particularly in fund administration including transfer agency services. Valere has significant expertise in accounting and reporting for cross-border investment structures.

Background and experience

Before Joining Ogier, Valere spent eight years at a leading advisory firm Luxembourg where he co-initiated and co-led a European centre of excellence for pan-European fund structures. This comprised of accounting, tax and legal professionals and set up cross-border teams, tools and processes with the objective of offering a coordinated and best in class service to asset managers deploying their investments in several European jurisdictions.

Before moving to Luxembourg, Valere spent six years in Belgium as a financial accountant. He has worked closely with tax advisors and has also been in charge of tax compliance. His fund administration experience includes transfer agency as well as legal and corporate and services.

Valere is passionate about new technologies and has worked on successful digital transformation initiatives in his various roles. He is an active advocate of the use of the best set of technologies in financial services to improve quality, speed and client experience.

Valere is also co-founder of EREVU, a Luxembourg based private investment vehicle investing in African and European startups, and co-founder of Luxembourg Africa Investments Association (LuxAfrica).
