Stuart Watson

Stuart is managing director of Ogier Global in the UK and is leading the growth of our UK office with particular focus on Debt Capital Markets, Corporate and Real Estate. He has substantial experience in corporate governance across a range of company types and industries, including insurance, finance, infrastructure and utilities and real estate, and specialises in structured finance transactions.

Background and experience

Stuart has more than a decade of experience in corporate and fiduciary services, overseeing the creation of innovative corporate structures and the provision of governance, accounting, company secretary and other ancillary services.

Before joining Ogier in 2023, Stuart oversaw the corporate services product range at a leading professional services company in the global capital markets sector and he has experience working across multiple jurisdictions, including the UK and Ireland. He sits on many company boards, in particular those of special purpose vehicles (SPVs), in both an executive and non-executive capacity and is involved in the management of various UK and pan-European assets across multiple sectors. Stuart also worked at Tesco Bank's insurance subsidiary as a company secretary.

A graduate of Northumbria University, Stuart has a law degree and a master's degree in executive management with a specialism in legal business. He is also a chartered Company Secretary with the Corporate Governance Institute.
