Sophie Denman

Sophie is a managing associate in Ogier’s Private Wealth team in Guernsey, specialising in Guernsey and BVI law.

Background and experience

A STEP qualified trusts and estates practitioner, Sophie has extensive technical experience in advising trustees, settlors and beneficiaries in respect of complex and high-value wealth structures.

Sophie advises fiduciary service providers, intermediaries and ultra-high-net-worth individuals in relation to non-contentious and contentious trust, foundation and other wealth structuring matters.

Sophie advises on the creation, administration and re-organisation of private wealth structures, as well as assisting in respect of pre-contentious and contentious issues.

Sophie was listed a Rising Leader in Private Client Global Elite 2022. Sophie is a full member of STEP having completed the STEP Diploma in International Trust Management with Distinction and the highest mark globally in 2019, earning her four STEP Excellence Awards.
