Margeaux Newman

Margeaux has broad experience in general commercial litigation and international arbitrations based on breaches of contract, tortious liability and any risk to personal or business interests. She focuses on advising on, and conducting proceedings in respect of, funds, trusts, corporate and insolvency disputes.

Margeaux also performs legal reviews and advises on regulatory compliance.

Before joining Ogier in 2020, Margeaux was a part of the commercial litigation team in the Johannesburg office of Hogan Lovells where she completed her traineeship and was admitted as an attorney in South Africa. A graduate of the University of Stellenbosch, she also holds a bachelor degree in commerce and has completed internships at multiple firms and companies.
