Background and experience
Kayla graduated from York University in 2009 with an Honours Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and European Studies, and a Certificate of Language Proficiency in French. She obtained her Juris Doctor Degree from the Schulich School of Law at Dalhousie University in 2013. In 2018, she obtained a Postgraduate Diploma in Legal Practice with Distinction from Oxford Brookes University.
Kayla completed the clinical law program at Dalhousie Legal Aid Service, in Nova Scotia.
Kayla was awarded the O.L. Panton Memorial Prize for best performance over the Professional Practice Course and the Attorney General’s Trophy for best performance in the Qualifying Examination.
