Joanna Christensen

Joanna is a specialist funds and regulatory lawyer, with a focus on venture capital and private equity funds.

Background and experience

Joanna advises on a wide variety of matters including investment funds, regulatory issues, and corporate transactions.

Joanna deals with all aspects of investment funds - in addition to her involvement in fund launches and the establishment of co-investment and carry vehicles, Joanna provides advice to a variety of funds and fund managers on an ongoing basis with a particular focus on private equity and venture capital. Joanna also advises on fund marketing, Jersey financial services regulatory law, economic substance and AIFMD.

Joanna is part of Ogier's multi-disciplinary Private Equity team. She specialises in structuring advice and fund formation, and advises on the full range of ongoing fund operation including regulatory compliance with experience advising on term extension, wind-down and termination.  Her achievements include working for a German private equity firm in the launch of their most recent fund investing in the DACH region".

Joanna is a member of the Law Society of England and Wales and has an MA Hons degree in Geography from Keble College, Oxford.
