Jasjit advises on a broad range of banking and finance matters in the Cayman Islands. Jasjit acts for both international lenders and borrowers on a range of financing transactions in relation to leveraged finance, fund finance and financial institution lending. Jasjit also has extensive experience in the field of structured finance and advises on a variety of structures including securitisations, receivables financing, warehouse lending, risk retentions and asset-based lending.
Background and experience
Prior to joining Ogier in 2022, Jasjit was part of the English law finance group at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer where he primarily worked on leveraged finance, structured finance and banking mandates. Jasjit was also part of the market-leading finance team at Mayne Wetherell.
Jasjit holds a Bachelor of Laws (Honours), where he graduated in the top 10% of his cohort, and a Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Finance and Accounting from the University of Auckland.
