Geoffrey Butler

Geoff is an Independent Director with Ogier Global (Cayman) Limited providing governance services to investment structures in the Cayman Islands. Geoff joined Ogier Global in 2022 and has been working with clients ranging from emerging funds to multi-billion dollar managers with strategies across Asia, North and South America.

Background and experience

Prior to joining Ogier, Geoff gained expertise in audit through his valuable experience with PwC in both Hong Kong and the Cayman Islands working on both hedge and private equity fund groups with a wide range of size and strategies.

Geoff was also seconded to the Cayman Islands Financial Reporting Authority where he assisted with regulatory reviews of suspicious activity reports and other high risk matters reported under the Cayman Islands regulatory reporting framework.

Geoff holds the Accredited Director designation from the Chartered Governance Institute of Canada and is a qualified CPA. He is also a Certified Public Accountant from Washington State and holds a Master of Arts in Accounting and Finance from University of Edinburgh.
