Carl Moran

Carl is a senior associate in Ogier's Dispute Resolution team in BVI. He is an experienced BVI litigator with particular expertise in cross-border insolvency matters and fraud claims. Carl regularly advises clients on trusts matters, enforcement proceedings in the BVI, and all areas in relation to interlocutory relief including freezing orders and Norwich Pharmacal relief.

Background and experience

Before joining Ogier, Carl spent 10 years working with the dispute resolution team of another offshore law firm in Dublin and the BVI.

He has worked on a number of major disputes in the BVI and has successfully represented clients in cases concerning shareholder disputes, asset tracing, and breaches of fiduciary duty. Carl has strong expertise in BVI procedural issues and has a wealth of experience advising clients in relation to forum disputes, interlocutory relief, costs, and disclosure.

Carl is a member of RISA BVI and the BVI Bar Council. He graduated with a first class BCL (with politics) degree from University College Dublin and later attained an LLM (corporate and securities law) from the London School of Economics.
