Andrew Grant

As a member of the Corporate team, Andrew primarily advises regulated businesses in Guernsey on transactional matters and regulatory issues, with a particular focus on the insurance industry. Andrew has practised in Guernsey since 2016, and became a Guernsey Advocate in 2023.

Background and experience

Andrew maintains a broad corporate practice, and he regularly advises on complex and novel corporate structures using the different vehicles available in Guernsey. Often his work involves regulated businesses in Guernsey, and those doing businesses in Guernsey that may enter Guernsey's regulatory sphere. 

Andrew co-wrote the 2022 Practical Law guide to Insurance and Reinsurance in Guernsey.

Before moving to Guernsey in 2016 and joining Ogier in 2024, Andrew trained in London with a US firm. He completed his LPC at the College of Law in Guildford, and studied European Legal Studies at the University of Kent and the University of Amsterdam.
