Andrew Grant

Andrew is a member of the Corporate team and primarily advises regulated businesses in Guernsey on transactional matters and regulatory issues, with a particular focus on the insurance industry. Andrew has practised in Guernsey since 2016, and became a Guernsey Advocate in 2023. 

Background and experience

Before joining Ogier in 2024 Andrew was part of the corporate team at another international firm in Guernsey since he moved to the island in 2016. Though Andrew maintains a broad corporate practice, he generally advises regulated businesses in Guernsey, and those doing businesses in Guernsey that may enter Guernsey's regulatory sphere.  Much of Andrews practice involves Guernsey's thriving insurance industry, advising insurers, reinsurers and brokers with transactional matters and regulatory issues.

Andrew co-wrote the 2022 Practical Law guide to Insurance and Reinsurance in Guernsey.

Before moving to Guernsey Andrew trained in London with a US firm. Andrew completed his LPC at the College of Law in Guildford, and studied European Legal Studies at the University of Kent and the University of Amsterdam.
