Rachel Huang, a corporate law expert and partner at Ogier Hong Kong, has been named in China Business Law Journal's  A–List 2024-25: Growth Drivers, recognising her outstanding work in China's legal market.

The "Growth Drivers" list celebrates lawyers from Chinese and international law firms who have proved instrumental in driving market-shaping deals across sectors. The list recognises esteemed lawyers who stand out for their role in driving law firm growth.

Rachel has extensive experience in various corporate and capital markets matters, including listings in Hong Kong and the US, SPAC listings, de-SPAC transactions, pre-IPO restructuring and financing, mergers and acquisitions, private equity, and other corporate affairs. She also has substantial experience in bond capital markets transactions, debt restructuring, and banking finance. Rachel is a native Mandarin speaker and is fluent in English and Cantonese.

"I am truly honoured to be included in the China Business Law Journal's The A–List: Growth Drivers. This recognition would not have been possible without the support of the firm and our excellent team," said Rachel.

"We have had the privilege of participating in many challenging projects, advising from the Cayman Islands and British Virgin Islands legal perspective, working alongside clients and other intermediaries. I look forward to continuing to provide high-quality legal services to our clients and facing more challenges and opportunities with the team in the future."

The China Business Law Journal's A List is determined by editorial research, combined with nominations from corporate counsel and executives from Chinese and global businesses, as well as legal experts from across industries.

Rachel's inclusion in the A-List is the latest recognition for Ogier's Hong Kong team, following Ogier's shortlisting for Offshore Firm of the Year in both the Chambers Asia-Pacific and Greater China Region Awards 2025 and the IFLR Asia-Pacific Awards 2025.

In 2024, Ogier was recognised by financial data provider Wind as the top law firm for Chinese companies listing in the US, and the firm won the HFM Asia Hedge Fund Services Award for Best Offshore Law Firm for the third consecutive year.
