Ogier's position as top tier law firm in Jersey cemented in Legal 500 rankings

Ogier in Jersey has been again been ranked top tier across eight core services in the Legal 500 2025 rankings, with 28 ranked individuals and another 10 recognised as key lawyers.

The guide has ranked Ogier a leading firm for Banking and Finance; Capital Markets; Commercial Property; Corporate and Commercial; Dispute Resolution; Employment; Investment funds; and Private Client, Trusts and Tax.

Jersey practice partner Raulin Amy said: "I'm extremely proud of our team in Jersey. For banking and finance, Ogier is described as "one of the best established and experienced firms around". Ranked individuals from the team include Katrina Edge and Bruce MacNeil, who are both named as leading partners, and Kate McCaffrey, a next generation partner. Jennifer Cox, Nomfundo Skosana and Kamogelo Sono are noted as key lawyers.

For capital markets, client feedback notes that, "Ogier is the only team I'd turn to on capital markets, securitisation and structured finance matters". From the team, Raulin Amy and Bruce MacNeil are named leading partners, and Alexander Curry is recognised as a next generation partner.

For commercial property, Jonathan Hughes and Katharine Marshall are named leading partners, with a leading associate ranking for Sarah Parish and recognition for Laura Shirreffs as a key lawyer. According to client feedback, "Each of the individuals that I work with are efficient, but it's the strength of the team support that impresses me most".

For corporate and commercial, Ogier is described as "the dream team at getting deals done - their knowledge of the market is second to none". Raulin Amy is recognised in the Legal 500 Hall of Fame, with leading partner rankings for Simon Dinning, Matthew Shaxson and Richard Daggett. Alexander Curry and Oliver Richardson are named next generation partners and Amy Garrod is recognised as a leading associate. James Fox and Gigi McLellan are recognised as key lawyers.

Ogier is described as "a real market leader in dispute resolution in Jersey", with a "reputation for strong results, strategic and commercial thinking". From the team, Nick Williams and Damian Evans are ranked as leading partners. Oliver Passmore, James Angus and Rebecca McNulty are named next generation partners. Matthew Davies is noted as a key lawyer. 

Ranked for regulatory and white-collar crime, Ogier's team is described as "proactive, helpful, well connected with the local regulator and very client focused". The team is led by Matthew Shaxson and Nick Williams, and Tom Hall is noted as a key lawyer.

For employment, client's praised Ogier's seamless service provision: "The full service multi-jurisdictional offering (including in many cases across multiple time zones) is fantastic. James Campbell is a leading partner, and Josephine Howe and Katherine Neal are named next generation partners. Henry Wickham and Richard Laignel are also named key lawyers.
