Ogier's Katharine Marshall talks to students about life at Oxbridge

Katharine Marshall has been meeting with students from Jersey College for Girls to talk them through life at Oxbridge and how to get through the interview process.
Katharine – a managing associate in Ogier's Jersey property team who read law at Lincoln College, Oxford – spoke to Year 10 & 11 students about the admissions process, how to prepare for it, and about academic life at Oxford and Cambridge.
The session was arranged through the Jersey Oxbridge Alumni Association and Katharine said she was delighted to help the youngsters start to make decisions about their academic future.
She said: "I had a fantastic time at Oxford, it was an incredible experience that I would recommend to anyone.
"You need to be hugely self-motivated to succeed at Oxbridge – it's not an environment where you're spoon-fed, and it takes lots of hard work and dedication.
"The message to the girls that I met today, and my message to anyone considering applying to Oxbridge, is that if you're able to apply, you should go for it."
