Ogier supports Rangoon General Hospital Reinvigoration Trust fundraising launch
Ogier in Jersey is hosting a fund raising launch for the Rangoon General Hospital Reinvigoration Charitable Trust this evening.
Established in Jersey, the Charitable Trust is leading the transformation of the largest hospital in Burma (Myanmar).
Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, Nobel Laureate and Opposition Leader in Burma, will deliver a message for the celebration, which will see the launch of the charity's Medical Education project.
Ogier's practice partner in Jersey, Raulin Amy, said:
"Ogier is delighted to be associated with the Rangoon General Hospital Reinvigoration project, which is so important for Burma as it continues to develop.
"An island like Jersey is in a very fortunate position as regards medical facilities and it is an exciting opportunity to build bridges between our countries and help make a difference over the long term.
"By having Jersey trustees working alongside Lord Darzi and Matthew Tagney, and with the support of Daw Aung San Suu Kyi, we hope that awareness will be raised both locally in Jersey and throughout the UK and elsewhere."
