Ogier is ranked market leader for Chinese IPOs in the US

Ogier has been ranked the top international law firm for assisting Chinese-based companies with initial public offerings (IPOs) in the US.

According to Wind, a leading financial data provider in China, Ogier has advised more Chinese companies on US IPOs than any other firm in the first quarter of 2023, having advised on seven successful transactions.

Most recently, Ogier's equity capital markets team in Hong Kong advised on the two Nasdaq listings of CBL Investment Limited, a marine fuel logistics company, and Millennium Group International Holdings Limited, a long-established paper-based printing and packaging manufacturer. The deals were led by senior associate Janice Chu, with the support of Global Head of Corporate Nathan Powell, paralegal Jenson Ng and paralegal Jasmine Lin.

"Compared with the quarterly trend of the past year, we have seen a rebound in the US IPO market in the first quarter of 2023. The number of Chinese concept stocks listed in the United States also rose significantly thanks to the China Securities Regulatory Commission's relaxation of certain conditions for overseas listings by mainland companies in February this year" said senior associate Janice Chu, who is in Ogier's Equity Capital Markets team in Hong Kong.

Ogier's Cayman team also provided legal counsel to Chanson International Holding, Hongli Group Inc, and Shengfeng Development Limited, advising on all Cayman Islands legal aspects of the IPOs including pre-offering corporate and capital restructures.
