Ogier expands partnership with David Lin, Alan Wong, Yuki Yan

Funds specialists David Lin and Alan Wong, and banking and finance expert Yuki Yan, have been promoted to the Ogier partnership.

David and Alan are now group partners (BVI), Yuki is now a Hong Kong partner. All three Hong Kong-based lawyers have progressed through Ogier's partner development programme.

Yuki joined Ogier in 2016 and advises on all types of banking and financing matters with a strong focus on structured finance, leveraged and acquisition finance, and fund finance. Yuki regularly advises major international and the People's Republic of China (PRC) based financial institutions, PRC state-owned enterprises, listed and private companies and investment funds across a broad range of banking and finance transactions. Yuki also has considerable experience in debt capital markets transactions, corporate restructuring and reorganisations, and private equity transactions.

David joined Ogier's Investment Funds team in 2014 and has significant experience in representing PRC and Hong Kong managers in the structuring, establishment and maintenance of Cayman Islands and BVI domiciled hedge and private equity funds, and their affiliated investment manager / advisers. David is particularly experienced in addressing the demands and concerns of established PRC managers setting up offshore funds for the first time, and has developed a large client base and service provider network in relation to such client needs.

Alan, who joined in 2018, has been named as a Rising Star for three consecutive years in both the offshore investment funds and private equity funds categories in Hong Kong by IFLR1000, 2022, 2023 and 2024. In addition to advising on traditional and alternative asset classes, Alan leads Ogier's Technology and Web3 team in Asia. He has extensive experience in structuring investment funds with blockchain and Web3-related strategies. His clients include some of the most well-known names within the crypto native community, and some of the largest cryptocurrency exchanges and platforms, as well as their key executives.
