Ogier continues to expand private client offering in Hong Kong

News

05 August 2021

Hong Kong

Ogier continues to develop its private client offering in Hong Kong with the arrival of senior legal manager Grace Gao, a specialist in non-contentious private wealth law, including international estate and asset protection planning, wills and probate and family governance.

Grace joins Ogier's cross-disciplinary Trusts Advisory Group, which provides contentious and non-contentious legal support across BVI, Cayman, Guernsey and Jersey law, including corporate support where relevant, to high net-worth individuals and families and their advisers across the globe.

Ogier's Trusts Advisory Group is the largest team offshore providing these services, which are a core part of the firm's business, and Ogier is the only firm to be ranked top tier across its Cayman, Guernsey and Jersey law services in the Chambers HNW Guide 2021.

Members of Ogier's Trusts Advisory Group based in Hong Kong have a particular focus on providing private client services to clients across East Asia and in multiple languages, including Cantonese, English and Mandarin.

Working alongside Grace on non-contentious private wealth services in the Hong Kong team is partner and Legal 500 Leading Individual Marcus Leese, and, on contentious private wealth services, partner and head of Dispute Resolution in Asia Oliver Payne, partner Justin Davis and STEP qualified senior associate Aleisha Brown.

Global head of Private Wealth James Campbell said: "We're delighted to welcome Grace to the team. Grace's specialism in non-contentious private wealth law is a key differentiator for Ogier's offering in Hong Kong, and complements Ogier's existing strength in depth in this area in both our global and local Trusts Advisory Group."
