Ogier beats all comers to Legal Week's international law firm innovation award

Ogier has won Legal Week's International Law Firm Innovation Award.

The firm won the international category at The Legal Week Innovation Awards 2018 in London on Friday afternoon – with a team representing Ogier's Guernsey, Jersey and Luxembourg offices collecting the award.

The award submission focused on the launch and implementation of a firm-wide programme about innovation, efficiency and consistency.

Ogier's Global Managing Partner Edward Mackereth said: "It is just over two years since we launched our innovation strategy, and to win an award of this pedigree against competition of this quality speaks volumes about how the firm has embraced the challenge of that vision.

"Our submission was built around a work programme that almost everybody in the firm has played a part in – so this is very much a collective achievement across every level, service line and team across Ogier's offices."

The team collecting the award were Director of Service Innovation Doug Mackenzie (Jersey), partner Bertrand Geradin (Luxembourg), managing associate Oliver Quarmby (Guernsey), and senior associate Amy Garrod (Jersey).

The other firms nominated were: Dentons, Hogan Lovells, Magnusson & LEX247, Paul Hastings, Simmons & Simmons and Conyers Dill & Pearman.

Since September, Ogier has been named International Legal Team of the Year by STEP, been named Offshore Law Firm of the Year by Chambers Europe and been included in IFLR's Firms to Watch, highlighting 31 firms from around the world making headlines for innovation and growth.
