Nicholas Plowman named as A-List lawyer in China Business Law Journal

Ogier's Hong Kong practice partner Nicholas Plowman has been named one of the top lawyers for China-related business in the 2021 edition of the China Business Law Journal's A-List.

Nicholas, who leads Ogier's Investment Funds practice in Asia, is one of the 100 PRC firm lawyers and 100 foreign firm lawyers identified on the list, which is based on extensive research conducted by the publication and its media partners SINA Finance and SINA Lvdao.

To identify the region's top practitioners, the CBLJ asked thousands of in-house counsel in China, and around the world, as well as partners at Chinese law firms and international law firms, which lawyers should make the cut. The final list reflects the nominations received combined with the editorial team's 20 years plus of collective experience in documenting and analysing China’s legal market.

An investment funds specialist, Nicholas established Ogier's Hong Kong office in 2007 at the age of 33. As practice partner, he has overseen the growth of the Hong Kong office and has helped its highly successful investment funds practice become one of the largest in the region. He has also established longstanding relationships with some of the region’s most sophisticated and respected fund managers.
