New Director and Head of Private Wealth in Asia

News

14 December 2020

Hong Kong

Ogier has appointed private client specialist Jacqueline Loh to its Hong Kong team.

Jacqueline, who was named as one of the Top 10 Professionals in China and Hong Kong last year, will work with Ogier's legal and corporate administration teams as a trusted advisor to HNWI and UHNWI clients in the Asian region.

Jacqueline has specialised in the private client industry for more than 20 years, with experience as a trust and tax lawyer before moving into the private banking sector, establishing and advising upon trusts and private trust companies for ultra-high net families in Hong Kong and Taiwan with a particular focus on family governance, control and providing for an orderly transfer of wealth to the next generation, and their philanthropic vision.

Ogier's global head of Private Wealth, James Campbell, said: "Our private clients and their advisors value the international experience of our team and the in-depth knowledge they can provide. We are very pleased to welcome Jacqueline to Ogier, whose breadth of experience brings exceptional strength and depth to our Asia based team."

Jacqueline is a Member of Law Society of Ontario, Law Society of Hong Kong and Law Society of England and Wales and Member of The Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). She is a former Chairperson of STEP's Hong Kong branch and continues to have material involvement as Council Member.

Jacqueline has numerous accolades to her name, including being named in The Citywealth 2018 IFC Power Women Top 200 and the Citywealth 2019 Top 10 Professionals in China and Hong Kong.

Clients have described Jacqueline as "one of those rare professionals who understands both the tax structuring aspects and the fiduciary responsibilities of being a discretionary trustee", who offers "excellent and high quality advice".
