Jersey
Ogier's Jersey office has maintained its leading ranking in financial and corporate services in the International Financial Law Review 1000, and has seen five additional lawyers from the Jersey team recognised as "Leading Lawyers".
The leading independent directory has added partners Simon Dinning, Katrina Edge and Richard Daggett as "Leading Lawyers", has promoted partners Niamh Lalor and Bruce MacNeil from "Rising Star" to "Leading Lawyer" and recognised senior associates Alex Curry and Dilmun Leach as "Rising Stars".
The 2017 edition of the directory also confirmed the Jersey team's leading tier one ranking for the financial and corporate team, and the tier two ranking for the investment funds team.
Raulin Amy, the Practice Partner of Ogier's Jersey office who was also named as a "Leading Lawyer" in the IFLR 1000, said that the team were very pleased with the independent endorsement of their work.
He said: "This recognition for the work and expertise of our financial, corporate and investment funds teams is hugely welcome – it demonstrates not just the strength of our team, but also the depth of our offering.
"We're very pleased to have maintained our top tier rankings, but more pleasing still is the fact that more of our key advisers have been individually recognised as 'Leading Lawyers'.
"This independent recognition of the quality of Ogier's Jersey team comes hot on the heels of the Legal 500 directory that also recognised Ogier's finance and corporate and commercial teams in the top tier."
Today's directory is another independent endorsement of the quality of Ogier's advice across service lines and jurisdictions – in 2016 alone, the firm has been named the Offshore Law Firm of the Year by Chambers Europe, Hedgeweek Global Awards and the Alpha Awards, following up on similar awards from The Lawyer and STEP the previous year.
The firm has also won awards for Best Rebranding Campaign, High Yield Deal of the Year and Caribbean Law Firm of the Year during the last 12 months.
