Head of Ogier's Estate Planning, Wills and Probate team, partner Henry Wickham, has been named Channel Islands and Isle of Man Lawyer of the Year by Citywealth.
This honour comes after Legal 500 named him their “go-to person in Jersey for HNW international clients due to the breadth of his experience”. He has also been recognised for his talent and expertise by Chambers in their high net worth and UK guides, Legal Week, and Private Global Elite.
Henry specialises in estate planning, the administration of high net worth and multi-jurisdictional estates, complex succession planning and will drafting as well as advising on all aspects of Jersey trusts, foundations, philanthropic structures and related corporate law issues.
He is also a Jersey Notary Public, an exam qualified STEP member, sits on several consultative bodies relating to Jersey's trust industry and is lead editor of the STEP Directory Jersey overview. For his former role as Chair of the STEP Jersey Branch, Henry was awarded a STEP Founder's Award for Outstanding Achievement at the end of 2021.
He attended the Citywealth Awards ceremony in London to collect the accolade.
He said: “I feel very honoured to receive this recognition as the leading Private Wealth lawyer in the Channel Islands and Isle of Man.
“I have an incredibly strong global team behind me at Ogier who are also reflected in this award. Their talent, dedication and client-centricity allow us to deliver exceptional client service – I'm extremely proud and thankful.”
These awards continue to set a benchmark for outstanding performance, innovation and client service. Henry's success cements the firm's position as an all-round leader in the sector which is dedicated to its people and supporting homegrown talent.
