Edwin Gomez promoted to Counsel in Ogier's Dispute Resolution team in Hong Kong

Edwin Gomez has been promoted to Counsel in Ogier's 13-strong Dispute Resolution team in Hong Kong, one the largest and most respected in the market.

Named a 'one to watch' in the Private Client Global Elite, Edwin has a broad practice covering investment funds litigation, contentious trust matters, cross-border restructuring and insolvency and commercial litigation, often encompassing negligence and breach of duty claims, member and creditor schemes of arrangement and contentious and non-contentious cross-border insolvency. He has been working with clients in Asia for many years, with a particular focus on the Japanese market.

Edwin practised in London and the Cayman Islands before moving to Hong Kong where his achievements include advising listed companies, high net worth individuals and liquidators. Notable successes have included cross border work in BVI and in Cayman, involving, for example, an application to the Grand Court of the Cayman Islands for the recognition of liquidators appointed by the High Court of Hong Kong over an exempted Cayman Islands incorporated company.
