Depth and breadth of excellence in Ogier's Cayman team recognised in Caribbean Legal 500 guide

The new Legal 500 directory has recognised 18 Ogier lawyers in the Cayman Islands, with an elevated ranking for the office's Dispute Resolution team.

The directory, which uses independent editorial research to assess firms across jurisdictions and different legal sectors, describes Ogier's Cayman Dispute Resolution team as "very well resourced, quick to respond, and hugely knowledgeable about Cayman law".

The team is led by partner Rachael Reynolds, who is described as "a fantastic lawyer and well placed to provide excellent legal advice in the litigation arena", with new partner Marc Kish praised.

The Cayman Banking and Finance team is "responsive, commercial and gives solid as well as pragmatic advice" with partners Angus Davison noted and James Heinicke described as impressive with his "sensible, pragmatic and commercial advice, as well as his energy and responsiveness".

The Investment Funds team's strategic growth is noted following the promotion of Joanne Huckle to partner, who is described as a name to note, and the recent arrival of new counsel Emma Sutherland. The team is described as "excellent in its approach and providing excellent value for money". Managing Associate Justin Savage, who was recently promoted, is also a name to note, described as having a "pro-business approach".

Other Cayman lawyers of note in the directory include Investment Funds partners Giorgio Subiotto whose "strengths are cordiality, efficiency, practicality, accuracy and thoroughness", James Bergstrom and Angus Davison. The trust and private client team's Anthony Partridge is described as "an outstanding lawyer and one of the most approachable and personable lawyers around." Brad Kruger, Head of Corporate & Commercial in the Caribbean and Asia, is a leading individual.
