Laura Holtham has been made partner in the Banking and Finance team at Ogier Leman.
Laura has more than 10 years of legal experience and previously worked as a consultant for the firm. Her recent work includes advising a large Irish bank in connection with its SME lending portfolio, including term and revolving facilities to domestic and international corporates and advising on all financing and security aspects of development and construction projects. She has also recently acted for a large US institution in connection with its capital call facilities to Irish funds.
Laura joins Ogier's global Banking and Finance team, strengthening the firm's service offering in Ireland and internationally. Her practice will include all aspects of real estate finance and structured finance for domestic and international markets.
"We're delighted to welcome Laura to the Ogier partnership. Having worked with her previously, I know she brings an enormous amount of experience and expertise to the team in Ireland. It's fantastic to see her hard work and talent recognised by this appointment," said Ogier Leman practice partner John Hogan.
Ogier's global head of Banking and Finance, Katrina Edge, also welcomed Laura to the team: "There is a strong demand for banking and finance services in Ireland and Laura is perfectly placed to spearhead our service offering to clients in the region and around the globe. I'm delighted to have her join the team."
Laura spent the early part of her career and training at a large international firm in both London and New York, working across a variety of finance transactions but with a particular focus on structured finance instructions such as securitisations, receivables-based lending, capital markets and derivatives. She also undertook a secondment at a large commercial bank where she worked closely with the legal and business teams.
After moving to Dublin in 2013, Laura joined another Irish firm where she was part of the banking team acting on a broad range of transactions for both domestic and international clients.
