5 fund structuring options in BVI

Professional Funds - Funds for "professional investors" only with each investor making a minimum investment of US$100,000

Private Funds - No minimum investment level but limited to a maximum of 50 investors, or offering on a private basis

Public Funds - No minimum investment level and no cap on the number of investors, the most regulated regime, suitable for retail fund offerings

Approved Funds - No minimum investment level, but restricted to a maximum of 20 investors and a maximum AUM of US$100 million

Incubator Funds - For up to 20 "sophisticated private investors" with a minimum investment of US$20,000 and a maximum AUM of US$20 million – must convert to another category after two years
