Ogier's pan-Channel Islands team advises Brooks Macdonald International on sale to Canaccord Genuity Wealth

Ogier has acted as Channel Islands' counsel advising Brooks Macdonald Group plc on the sale of its wholly owned subsidiary, Brooks Macdonald Asset Management (International) Limited and its subsidiaries, to Canaccord Genuity Wealth (International) Holdings Limited for a total consideration of up to £50.85 million. Completion is expected by March 2025 and is subject to regulatory approvals.

Ogier acted as both Jersey and Guernsey counsel to the seller providing pan-Channel Islands' full service legal advice throughout the sale process, including advice from our corporate, regulatory, fund, employment and property teams. The multi-disciplinary Channel Islands team was led by regulatory and corporate expert Matthew Shaxson, assisted by senior associate Danny Cole, both based in Jersey, with Guernsey legal advice provided by Bryon Rees, Guernsey partner, and his team.
