Ogier Leman has acted for Dublin-based tech start-up Oblivious Software Limited in its €5.35 million investment

Oblivious Software Limited specialises in confidential computing. The seed round was led by Berlin-based early-stage VC Cavalry Ventures. Additionally, Cavalry was joined by a range of supporting European and US-based VCs and angels including Act VC, Atlantic Bridge, Firestreak Ventures, Expeditions Fund and Hustle Fund.

The team was led by partner Edon Byrnes, with associate Sharon Meaney, who advised on all Irish law aspects of the transaction. "Ogier Leman were delighted to have been able to advise Oblivious Software Limited, Dublin-based confidential computing start-up on an investment of €5.35 million, led by Calvary Ventures, which enables Oblivious to continue to build on its data science offering."

"We look forward to supporting Oblivious on its exciting journey," said Edon.

Headquartered at NovaUCD, a part of University College Dublin Research and Innovation, Oblivious Software Limited was founded by Robert Pisarczyk and Jack Fitzsimons. The software produced by the start-up allows data scientists and machine learning models to work on sensitive data while enforcing confidentiality constraints and brokering trust between businesses. Telecom giants, the United Nations and Official Statistics Offices, AI startups, and PET communities are some of Oblivious Software Limited's clients.

An Enterprise Ireland client company, the company currently has a staff of 13, and intends to create several new jobs over the near future.
