Ogier Leman’s Corporate team has advised Leap Legal Software Ireland Limited in its successful acquisition of case management software developer eXpd8 Limited.
Leap Legal Software Limited is a global software development company headquartered in Sydney, NSW, Australia, and opened its Ireland office in 2018. Based in Swords, Co. Dublin, eXpd8 Limited was established in 1986 to provide specialised IT support to the legal industry in Ireland, used by over 800 professional services firms and government bodies.
The acquisition was a share purchase transaction.
"Ogier Leman were delighted to have been able to advise Leap, the world’s leading cloud software provider for small to mid-sized law firms, on its acquisition of eXpd8, a transaction which enables Leap to continue to build on its cutting-edge technology platform and offering. We look forward to supporting Leap on its exciting journey and to continuing to offer vibrant, international and domestic technology companies an efficient, no nonsense legal service," said Ogier Leman partner and head of Corporate Dominic Conlon, who headed up a team including Corporate department associate Aaron Kelly and Corporate department trainee solicitor Chelsey Heaney.
On eXpd8's website, a short statement on the company's new relationship with LEAP says: "In LEAP, eXpd8 has identified a trusted partner with longevity in the legal market and an unparalleled record for providing the most innovative cloud software solution to small and medium sized law firms."
