Ogier advises Virax Biolabs Group Limited on private placement priced at the market

Ogier acted as Cayman Islands legal adviser to the Virax Biolabs Group Limited on its private placement of its ordinary shares (or ordinary share equivalents), series A preferred investments options and series B preferred investment priced at the market under Nasdaq rules.

The company previously closed another private placement of its ordinary shares and unregistered warrants in November 2022, in which Ogier also acted as Cayman Islands counsel.

Virax Biolabs is a Nasdaq-listed innovative biotechnology company focused on the prevention, detection, and diagnosis of viral diseases. The company intends to use the net proceeds from the private placements for the development and commercialisation of its proprietary T-Cell Test technology as well as for working capital and other general corporate purposes.

The Ogier team in Hong Kong was led by corporate partner Florence Chan with support from global head of corporate Nathan Powell, associate Anna Cheung and paralegal Jenson Ng.
