Ogier advises on issuance of convertible notes by Shanghai Yupei Group

Following the offering of an aggregate of US$150 million convertible promissory notes issued by the Shanghai Yupei Group through its Cayman Islands company in April 2014, the Yupei Group issued an additional convertible promissory note of US$100 million in January 2015. Ogier Hong Kong acted as the Cayman Islands counsel to Shanghai Yupei Group on both issuance.

Nathan Powell based in Ogier's Hong Kong office worked with senior associate Florence Chan on the transaction. Simpson Thacher & Bartlett acted as onshore legal adviser to the Yupei Group.
