Ogier advises on first dual VASP and SIBA licence applications

Ogier has advised a leading digital asset prime broker in Asia on the first successful dual licensing application.

The team acted as British Virgin Islands counsel for Liquidity Technology Limited (LTP) in its applications as a virtual asset service provider (VASP) under the Virtual Assets Service Providers Act and an investment business (dealing in investments) under the Securities and Investment Business Act. These licenses allow LTP to operate within a clear regulatory framework.

This marks Ogier's second successful BVI VASP case and the first instance of securing both VASP and investment business (dealing in investments) licences.

The Ogier team was led by partners Michael Killourhy and Dennis Li, supported by consultant Lin Han and legal manager Rebecca Tsui.
