Ogier has recently advised Old Fashion Research (OFR) on the launch of its first investment fund focusing on investments in various blockchain ecosystems, including through early-stage incubation, venture capital investments, merger and acquisition and other special situation investments.
OFR, whose name is derived from the well-known cocktail, was founded by former executives of one of the largest crypto exchanges in the world. Ling Zhang, managing partner of OFR, commented: "We are keen to work with builders in the crypto field for the long run. Blockchain is a revolution and a disturbance of the capital plate in and of itself. We are very pleased to have worked with Ogier in this journey."
The Ogier team was led by Kate Hodson and Alan Wong from the Hong Kong office. The team is part of Ogier's dedicated Digital Blockchain and Fintech team and advised OFR on the Cayman law aspects of the fund launch.
