Ogier advises CMC MandE on stake in Hong Kong broadcaster TVB

Ogier acted as British Virgin Islands counsel to CMC M&E Acquisition Co. Ltd (CMC) on its acquisition of an indirect stake in leading Hong Kong broadcaster Television Broadcasts Limited (TVB). Through the acquisition of a stake in Young Lion Holdings Ltd, which indirectly holds a 26% stake of the outstanding shares of TVB, CMC has become an indirect shareholder in the media company.

The transaction was led by Nathan Powell based in the Hong Kong office, assisted by senior associate Florence Chan. Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer acted as onshore counsel to CMC. Linklaters acted as onshore counsel to Young Lion.
