Ogier advise on acquisition by leading litigation funding firm

Ogier's Guernsey corporate law team has advised Burford Capital, a leading global finance firm focused on law, on its acquisition of Gerchen Keller Capital.

Burford and Gerchen Keller are widely regarded as the world’s two leading litigation finance providers and the acquisition creates a combined firm with in excess of $1.2 billion in investments and commitments.

An Ogier team led by partner Bryon Rees advised Burford on the Guernsey law aspects of the deal, working with Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer.
