Ogier acts for Baofeng Energy on RMB8.15 billion IPO

Ogier's corporate team in Hong Kong acted as counsel for Ningxia Baofeng Energy Group Co Ltd (Baofeng Energy) in connection with its RMB8.15 billion IPO on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.

Partner Nathan Powell and senior associate Cecilia Li provided Cayman and BVI legal advice to the IPO, including providing Cayman and BVI opinions to the China Securities Regulatory Commission (CSRC) in respect of the issuer's BVI subsidiaries. In accommodating various requirements from the CSRC, Ogier demonstrated its professionalism and adaptable and solutions-oriented approach.

At the time of listing, this was the largest domestic IPO for a private company in China in 2019.
