Client challenge

The firm, which focused on decarbonisation investments, wanted to develop a climate impact measurement and management framework to monitor the firm's, and portfolio-level, impact performance across its investment verticals.

How we helped

We established the entity and product-level sustainability goals and objectives, setting out what the firm's roadmap and vision in relation to climate measurement and management.

Ogier worked with the investment company to establish the fund's climate theory of change and associated impact framework, set up data collection processes and established data validation procedures.

We also supported the client in reviewing B Corp and UN Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI) requirements, and assessed their appropriateness in helping the firm achieve its goals.

Result

The work has allowed the client to establish a holistic approach towards sustainability, as it establishes a focus and vision for the investment firm at an entity. It has also enabled the firm to map and monitor sustainability performance of its funds.
